It is the Mission of Skyline Conservation Initiative to develop programs, partnerships, and leverage resources at the intersection of conservation, agriculture, eco-tourism, and education.
Goals
- Increase the number of residents and visitors who participate in environmental stewardship
- Provide opportunities for people to have high quality experiences in nature
- Reduce invasive species
- Increase native habitat
- Support conservation non-profits
Objectives
- Establish conservation partnerships with land owners and execute native habitat rehabilitation projects that include invasive species removal and native plant installation
- Organize beach clean-up events
- Establish a collective of volunteers consisting of residents and visitors
- Coordinate volunteer trips with other conservation non-profit groups
